About The Position

Assist the University Audio-Visual Department with AV setups and classroom technology support. Candidates must be very team-oriented and have flexible scheduling to work during normal duty hours of Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, and when necessary for a few hours on some evenings or weekends. Most duties include moving and physically setting up speaker systems, projection equipment, and connecting various types of devices to projectors or televisions. Some advanced duties involve making video conference calls/connections with several applications including Cisco, Webex, and Zoom. This is a technical and hands-on position, but no experience is required as training will be provided. The University AV department is a high visibility department within Information Technology. Most daily duties can be completed quickly, allowing time to stay ahead in studies at the AV student work desk. This position is not a good fit if class schedules and other activities already take up most free time.

Responsibilities

  • Load Power Point or other media content on a room computer and ensure content is displayed on a projector or TV.
  • Move and physically set up speaker systems, projection equipment, and connect various types of devices to projectors or televisions.
  • Make video conference calls/connections with applications including Cisco, Webex, and Zoom.
