About The Position

Join the CASCOM G-6 team providing hands-on audiovisual (AV) support across T2COM classrooms and command events. This role ensures reliable classroom technology, seamless presentations, and high-quality audio/visual production, directly supporting Army training and leadership engagements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5+ years of experience supporting audiovisual systems in classroom, enterprise, or event environments
  • Experience with: AV equipment (projectors, displays, sound systems, control systems)
  • Experience with: Video teleconferencing (VTC/VTT) and hybrid classroom technologies
  • Experience with: Signal flow, wiring diagrams, and cabling (e.g., CAT6)
  • Experience troubleshooting: Audio/video quality issues, connectivity, and system performance problems
  • Experience supporting: Live events, presentations, and multi-day conferences
  • Familiarity with: Ticketing systems (AESMP, VIAMS, or similar)
  • Familiarity with: Inventory and asset management processes
  • Strong customer service and communication skills in high-visibility, real-time environments
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport AV equipment as required
  • Associate’s degree in Audio Visual Technology, Information Technology, or related field (OR equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Security+ (IAT II) required

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily on-site operational and sustainment support for classroom AV systems, including hardware, software, networking, and video tele-training (VTT) systems
  • Maintain daily logs of performance tasks, customer requests, system status, and known issues
  • Capture and manage sustainment activities using AESMP and T2COM ECP ticketing systems, ensuring tickets are tracked through resolution and closure
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMCS) on classroom AV equipment, including cleaning systems, replacing projector bulbs/filters, and maintaining equipment cabinets
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues, including hardware failures, signal flow problems, and connectivity issues
  • Interpret AV wiring diagrams and schematics, and perform basic repairs (e.g., CAT6 cabling)
  • Maintain accountability of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), repair parts, and AV inventory, including tracking usage and reporting
  • Manage shipping/receiving, labeling, packaging, and tracking of AV equipment and repair parts
  • Support classroom instruction and daily operations, assisting instructors and staff with AV equipment use
  • Set up, configure, test, operate, and tear down AV equipment for presentations, ceremonies, conferences, and special events
  • Coordinate with customers to determine AV requirements, conduct site surveys, and validate setup needs (power, layout, equipment)
  • Monitor live events and adjust audio levels, mixers, filters, and equalizers to ensure high-quality sound and video output
  • Support and manage the AV loaner program, including issuing, tracking, and receiving equipment
  • Provide training and briefings to users on AV systems and instructional technologies
  • Maintain a Common Operating Picture (COP) of all classroom AV systems and their operational status
  • Utilize and manage VIAMS or equivalent systems for AV asset and service tracking
  • Design and support visual and multimedia products for presentations and events as required
