About The Position

CTI has been a leading audiovisual provider since 1988, focused on providing a fantastic customer experience. We are looking for an AV Service Specialist for our Piscataway, NJ branch whose attitude, skills, and work ethic embody our mission: “to provide a fantastic customer experience.” This role involves troubleshooting and tuning up real-world AV systems across various spaces, built on platforms like Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Poly, Yealink, AMX, and more. The ideal candidate is a customer-focused problem-solver who can get the job done, especially when technical issues arise.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience with commercial AV integration installations, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • AV/IT Networking experience.
  • Customer Service Experience is a must.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, but ask questions when needed.
  • Eagerness to learn and tackle any situation.
  • Must be able to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate's degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with platforms like Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Poly, Yealink, AMX.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer service calls for installed AV systems in various locations (overnight travel is required, accommodations taken care of by CTI).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with displays, projection, video walls, audio systems (DSPs, microphones, speakers), video conferencing platforms (Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, room PCs), and control systems (Crestron, Extron).
  • Resolve hardware, software, and configuration issues.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure all systems are operating at optimum levels.
  • Work with Programmers as needed to load updated files.
  • Provide Customer-Facing Support.
  • Handle Documentation & Ticketing.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
