About The Position

This position performs repairs to electronic Audio/Visual equipment, maintains spare parts inventory, tracks and prepares analytical repair data, and assists the warehouse as needed. This position will work closely with the Service Coordinator and will collaborate with the Warehouse Manager and other key Operations personnel.

Requirements

  • Broad QC problem solving and troubleshooting skills such as root cause research, convergence, bore sight adjustments, board level diagnosis, and minor adjustments and repair
  • Basic to broad knowledge of AV manufacturers, products, and software such as cameras, intercom, freespeak, LED and projection
  • Broad knowledge of safety procedures and proper disposal process for AV products
  • Excellent Problem Solving and Troubleshooting Skills
  • Provide clear and concise verbal and written communication that facilitates mutual understanding among all parties.

  • Associates Degree or Certificate in electronic technology or electronic repair

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot to the board level for various types of electronic equipment used in the Audio/Video events industry.
  • Determine whether equipment can be repaired in-house or send to vendor.
  • Replace parts as needed.
  • Repair physical damage as needed.
  • Determine any potential cause of damage and report client related damage to the Service Coordinator.
  • Update and maintain equipment repair status and spare parts inventory using internal software systems.
  • Work with Service & Repair manager and team to prioritize repair of equipment.
  • Track and routinely communicate with manufacturers regarding equipment repair and RMA status.
  • Assist Service Coordinator with spare parts inventory and replacement orders.
  • Assist Coordinator with distribution and shipping of spare parts/repair parts.
  • Communicate repair status to the Service Coordinator.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
  • Identify areas of potential cost reduction.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned area(s).
  • Assist with warehouse and QC operations as needed.
