About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Audio Visual Commissioning Technician to support the deployment and service of integrated technology solutions for commercial clients. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining a variety of AV and collaboration systems that enhance communication and operational performance. The ideal candidate is technically driven, customer-focused, and comfortable working in dynamic environments where projects and technologies vary day-to-day. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with commercial AV installations or technical field service.
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage systems, cabling, and general construction practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams.
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
  • Familiarity with commercial AV technologies and unified communications systems.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and IP-based AV environments.
  • Experience with system troubleshooting and field diagnostics.
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and standard productivity software.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and wiring schematics.

Nice To Haves

  • CTS certification or equivalent industry training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure audiovisual systems including displays, conferencing platforms, audio solutions, and control technologies.
  • Perform system setup, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning for customer installations.
  • Provide end-user instruction and technical support following system deployment.
  • Interpret project documentation, schematics, and installation requirements.
  • Work alongside engineering and project teams to ensure successful system implementation.
  • Diagnose technical issues and resolve system performance concerns efficiently.
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout project execution and support activities.
  • Ensure all installations meet company quality standards and safety requirements.
  • Complete service documentation, work orders, and support tickets accurately.
  • Travel to client locations as needed to support installations and service requests.
  • Maintain organized job sites, tools, and equipment.
  • Participate in rotating after-hours support coverage when required.
