About The Position

The Audio Technician must prepare and scan the rented equipment and put them back upon returns in the inventory in the space designated. The technician must also prepare the transport cases and may have to load it in the truck for outbound.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an audio equipment workshop or on live events
  • Good knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Planner)
  • Ability to solve complicated problems.
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail
  • Well-developed organizational skills
  • Demonstrate ability to work well with clients (internal and external)
  • Adapt to change easily.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the R2 inventory software (an asset)

Responsibilities

  • QC and Maintain audio cable, mics, coms, stands, cases, etc.
  • Maintain organization of the items above
  • Pull orders for upcoming audio events.
  • Perform periodic inventory counts
  • Able to create, read and interpret system drawings, schematics, and plans.
  • Familiar with computer networking, applicable hardware, and software
  • Examine the lists of equipment to be prepped for tours and assist in pulling tour orders.
  • Together with the supervisor, coordinate the preparation of orders on a priority basis.
  • Prepare, scan, and receive orders in R2 inventory system.
  • Customize the equipment if requested by the customer according to the purchase order: Complete the lists in the R2 software, Modify the equipment parameters, Program equipment according to the standards and needs of the client, Prepare racks and interconnection of systems, Install versions and updates of software/computer programs, Make sure to supply all the necessary accessories for the operation of the equipment (e.g., wiring, adapter, PSU, etc.)
  • Ensure that all equipment sent to the planned locations is in excellent condition.
  • Ensure the order and cleanliness of its section.
  • Report any breaks and/or missing items to the supervisor.
  • Keep track of inventories, kits, cable assembly bundles, etc.
  • Respond to any questions or issues technicians may have, as well as to those from coordinators and technicians on the road.
  • Clean and visually inspect returned equipment.
  • Upgrade items to the current version (e.g., painting, cleaning, etc.)
  • Follow quality standards as well as the company’s and/or industry’s standards of preparation.
  • All other duties related to the position.
