Under direct supervision, the Audio Student Assistant will provide support to students and faculty in open labs and classes. This role involves assisting with studio production as an Audio Engineer and Editor, managing check-out equipment, maintenance, and inventory. The assistant will also be responsible for organizing and setting up control rooms and production rooms, as well as assisting with the organization and maintenance of equipment for check-out. Key duties include setting up microphones, recording equipment, and computers. The position requires the ability to take direction, show initiative, and be a valuable team player, working effectively with students and staff. Availability for meetings and weekend work is necessary, along with maintaining production equipment and storage. The role may also involve driving to remote campus locations and carrying equipment. Other duties as assigned.
