Audience Marketer

The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies•Chicago, IL

About The Position

The Content & Event Marketing Strategist determines how PMMI Media Group's content and events reach their intended audiences, then plans and executes that promotion. The role supports the Packaging World, ProFood World, Healthcare Packaging, OEM, and Mundo EXPO PACK brands. Approximately 80% of the position focuses on promoting content to drive audience engagement, and approximately 20% focuses on marketing PMG events in partnership with the Events team. The role requires both strategic planning and hands-on campaign execution, including coordinating automation setup with production and analyzing campaign reports. The position develops audience engagement and promotion plans for each brand and a unified portfolio-level plan, while maintaining an integrated calendar for content promotion, automated programs, and events. It works with editorial teams early in the planning process to design promotion alongside registration-gated content and events, and builds knowledge of the packaging and processing industry and its audiences. The role plans and executes promotion for webinars, reports, e-books, guides, video series, and other gated content across email, web, social, and paid channels. It manages automated engagement programs, defines audience segments with data and editorial teams, and creates targeted campaigns. For events, it develops integrated campaigns, collaborates on marketing narratives, manages microsites and collateral, and monitors performance to adjust campaigns. It also maintains a testing plan, reports on marketing outcomes, and shares findings with editors. Applicants must be local to the Chicago area. Occasional travel, including to trade shows and PMG events, is required.
