About The Position

This role is based in our Washington, D.C., Newton, MA, or New York, NY office. This is an exciting opportunity to blend creativity with analytics, experiment with emerging channels, and directly impact the growth trajectory of a leading B2B media portfolio. You'll work alongside collaborative teams that value innovation, continuous learning, and measurable results. This role will report to the Senior Audience Growth Marketing Manager based in the DC office and work across the Audience Development team as required to support our goals.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years executing integrated marketing campaigns across social media (paid specifically), email, and display channels.
  • Publishing or B2B media experience strongly preferred. Enthusiastic about journalism and the media industry.
  • Familiarity with analytics and campaign reporting platforms (Google Analytics, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
  • Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences and channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with graphic/video editing tools (Canva or similar).
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms and knowledge of marketing automation platforms (Eloqua, Sailthru, etc).
  • Experience working in agile or collaborative project management environments.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Resourceful and comfortable taking initiative.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Curious and eager to experiment with new tools, channels, and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Audience Acquisition & Engagement: Plan, execute, and optimize multi-channel growth campaigns to acquire net new newsletter subscribers and qualified leads across our editorial portfolio.
  • Develop and test targeted campaigns across email, paid social, organic social, display advertising, and emerging channels.
  • Create compelling, audience-specific copy and creative assets that maximize conversion and engagement.
  • Build and refine audience segments using advanced data tools to deliver personalized user experiences across all digital touchpoints.
  • Understand impact of growth on other audience metrics and KPIs, such as engagement, and work cross-departmentally on related initiatives.
  • Campaign Analytics & Optimization: Monitor campaign performance in real-time, identifying optimization opportunities to improve conversion rates, engagement metrics, and cost efficiency (CPL/CPC).
  • Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to uncover insights that inform future strategies.
  • Provide actionable reporting and recommendations to stakeholders, highlighting key wins, learnings, and growth opportunities.
  • Launch & Scale New Initiatives: Support go-to-market strategies for new editorial product launches, special projects, virtual events, and partnership initiatives.
  • Experiment with and validate new marketing channels to expand audience reach.
  • Contribute to strategic audience development projects that enhance discovery, retention and lifetime value of our readers.
  • Audience Experience & Support: Help manage subscriber communications and inquiries through newsletter inboxes, ensuring timely, professional responses.
  • Advocate for subscriber needs and contribute to improving overall user experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Editorial, Product, and wider Audience Development teams to align campaigns with content strategies and business objectives.
  • Share insights, trends, and best practices in team meetings to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide flexible support on ad-hoc projects as team priorities evolve.
