About the team and the role: The Auction Manager is a critical role in achieving unparalleled sale results through thoughtful and strategic auction management. This role will work directly with the Client Partnerships and Cataloguer teams and own the auction construction and management. As a central role in enhancing the customer experience, Goldin is looking for someone detail-oriented, has extensive experience with Google Sheets and inventory/sales systems, and loves the hobby.

Requirements

  • Proven experience within the e-commerce, specialty or collectibles industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects (auctions) at once in a fast paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years work experience postgraduate
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Collectibles of the Hobby.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Smart Sheets or google sheets preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Builds auctions: lotting, starting bids, start times, end times, previews, etc.
  • Communicates auction changes (new auctions, start or end date moves, etc.) to all relevant stakeholders
  • Manages items that are waiting to be allocated by moving the items into auctions appropriately or working with the Consignment Directors to allocate items
  • Reviews item estimated values and updates appropriately
  • Review listings for accuracy (title, authentication)
  • Communicates lots to sales team by auction
  • Pulls lots out of live auctions as needed
  • Creates accounts for new sellers when seller information is missing
  • Reallocates unsold, defaulted or returned inventory
  • Ensures unmet reserves are noted on listings within 24 hours of auction close
