About The Position
Hennessy & Roach, P.C. is a law firm specializing in defending employers in Workers’ Compensation and defendants in General Liability matters. The firm, with offices across multiple Midwestern states, is seeking an Attorney for its St. Louis, Missouri office. The successful candidate will be responsible for defending and litigating general liability and workers’ compensation claims. This role involves managing an individual caseload, drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in various legal proceedings such as hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, and arbitrations.
Requirements
- J.D. and license in Illinois or Missouri
- Experience defending workers’ compensation and general liability claims
Responsibilities
- litigating workers’ compensation cases through all phases on behalf of employers and insurers
- management of individual caseload
- drafting pleadings and conducting legal research as needed
- negotiations for settlement
- attending hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations and other proceedings
