High Point University’s Workman School of Dental Medicine is hiring a full-time Pediatric Dentist for clinical and academic duties within its Doctor of Dental Medicine and post-doctoral programs. This 12-month, non-tenure-track faculty appointment includes treating pediatric patients across the HPU Health–Oral Health Network, teaching and mentoring predoctoral students and Advanced Education in General Dentistry residents, and helping establish pediatric care protocols across clinical facilities. Professional rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications. The faculty member will help address unmet pediatric oral-health needs in the Triad region and collaborate with specialists and faculty across disciplines. The role also offers an opportunity to help design and launch a Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program, with the potential to serve as its Program Director. Responsibilities include supporting curriculum development, faculty calibration, evidence-based care guidelines, continuing education, quality improvement, and compliance with Commission on Dental Accreditation standards. The position is based within a model combining immersive education with real-world clinical training. Facilities include a new dental school with simulation and digital classrooms, and clinical hubs in Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point. The role involves travel to oral health network practice sites.
