About The Position

The School of Public Health (SPH) at the University of Alberta is seeking to fill a full-time, 2-year (renewable) Academic Teaching Staff position. This role is an initial appointment of 24 months, beginning no later than June 1, 2026. The teaching load will be equivalent to 6 course equivalents per year, in line with the ATS agreement. The position is in-person at North Campus Edmonton. Requirements

  • Advanced training in public health (e.g., MPH, MSc, PhD or DrPH).
  • Ability to foster a workplace that prioritizes safety in all its forms—physical, cultural, and psychological.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant practical experience in the field of public health.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses within the Master of Public Health (MPH) program.
  • Contribute to the academic programs, centers, and research teams focused on public health issues.
