About The Position

The Vehicle for Hire Supervisor is responsible for supervising and participating in the field enforcement of the City of Atlanta ordinances relating to operations of vehicles for hire. Duties at this level include, but are not limited to: supervising and training assigned personnel; reviewing reports, forms and citations for sound enforcement practices and accuracy; conducting inspections and checking for permits, licenses and inspection stickers; investigating customer complaints, preparing evidence; testifying at hearings; and maintaining and updating records for proper documentation. This is a team lead or "foreman" level position with a formally designated team of skilled employees, either in one or multiple skilled specialties. Direction received is very general and focuses on end results and is typically collaborative in nature. Makes decisions on technical issues, diagnoses, or procedures in collaboration with other supervisors or managers.
