About The Position

Air Transport International (ATI) is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic (AP MECH AFW) to perform overhaul, maintenance, and repair of airframe components, powerplants, aircraft communication equipment, and associated components. This role requires adherence to Company and manufacturer manuals, policies, procedures, bulletins, and orders. Mechanics will be responsible for signing off on completed work and must remain vigilant for defective, worn, or failed parts, ensuring a safe working condition. The position may also involve housekeeping duties and general maintenance of company property. Mechanics will perform all tasks assigned by supervisors or higher management and will be directly responsible to the Director of Quality Control when exercising RII provisions. Attendance at all assigned Company training classes is mandatory.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must complete a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check.
  • Experience with 757/767 aircraft.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and reach.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Comply with ATI attendance requirements.
  • Airframe and Powerplant license (FAR 121.378a).
  • Shall have a valid passport or the ability to get one.

Nice To Haves

  • Parts 121, 125, 145; Heavy transport category aircraft experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Overhaul, maintenance, and repair of airframe components, powerplants, aircraft communication equipment and associated components in accordance with Company manuals, manufacturer’s manuals, including policies, Procedures Bulletins and Orders.
  • Sign for work accomplished.
  • Be constantly alert for defective, worn or failed parts as well as safe working condition.
  • Perform housekeeping duties such as policing work area or repair and maintenance of company property.
  • Perform all tasks assigned by the Supervisor or higher management.
  • Be directly responsible to the Director of Quality Control when exercising authority under RII provisions.
  • Attend all Company training classes as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
  • Travel to other ATI stations to assist with maintenance at the direction of the department manager.
