About The Position

American Heritage Schools–Palm Beach Campus is seeking an Athletics Coach to join its Athletics Department. This seasonal, part-time position involves instructing and preparing student-athletes for games and competitions. The coach supports individual and team practices, teaches the sport, develops athletes’ skills and game strategies, and promotes sportsmanship and positive character. The work takes place on fields and includes travel with the team to games and tournaments at other locations. The position is not eligible for benefits due to its part-time status.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in coaching.

Nice To Haves

Experience coaching specific sports.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparing and conducting individual and team practices, training, and competitions.
Teach and instruct all aspects of the game.
Promote sportsmanship and foster good character in student-athletes.
Work with other Athletics Coaches on general and sport-specific coaching procedures, methods, and techniques.
Provide technical support and training to athletes as appropriate to the sport.
Assign specific positions and develop drills and organized game strategies.
Supervise students in practice areas, locker rooms, and on buses.
Encourage student participation and establish rapport.
Maintain equipment and uniforms.
Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations.
Perform other duties as needed.
