About The Position

This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring the athletic programmatic operations of The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center (RJKCCC). It involves implementing programs based on community needs and athletics trends, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, and assisting with grant proposals for program funding.

Requirements

High School Diploma required.
Three years administering recreation programs OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Valid Driver’s License and eligible driver status under TSA Driver Program.
C.P.R. and First Aid Certification (upon hire)

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Physical Education or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervises, monitors, and provides oversight to the day-to-day program activities of the gymnasium, track, and field, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with procedures.
Conducts performance evaluations and makes salary and hiring/firing recommendations for athletic staff.
Ensures athletic programs are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety.
Performs consistent, high-quality customer service and provides continuous feedback to promote a positive experience for center participants.
Coordinates, supervises, schedules, trains, and orients athletic support staff, seasonal/part-time staff, and athletic volunteers.
