About The Position

Develop student-athletes and team success through sport-specific training and event participation. Students will be provided a positive in-season sport experience and develop physically during department-guided off-season training.

Requirements

  • NMAA/PED requirements for Coaching Licensure.
  • High School graduation.
  • Lift 50 pounds.
  • Carry items to sites.
  • Possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree with prior high school coaching experience.
  • Two years of sport-specific participation/training/and/or prior coaching experience at the high school level or above.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the sport by using the Six Pillars of Sportsmanship: Respect, Integrity, Honesty, Teamwork, Leadership, and Personal Responsibility.
  • Manage and inventory sport-specific equipment.
  • Maintain professional relations and communications with supervisor, parents, student-athletes, the media, boosters, and officials.
  • Fulfill MaxPreps and NMAA requirements (high school only).
