About The Position

Big Piney Middle School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our athletic department as a 7th Grade Girls Volleyball Coach this season. This coach will work closely with the head coach to develop and implement training programs, mentor student-athletes, and promote a positive and competitive team environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for volleyball and a commitment to fostering a positive environment for young female athletes. This seasonal position will focus on developing the skills, confidence, and sportsmanship of our student-athletes while promoting hard work and personal growth.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required for state certification.
  • Previous experience in coaching volleyball is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of volleyball techniques, rules, and strategies is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by practice and competition schedules.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is needed; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to reach their full potential.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Must pass a background check and comply with all school district requirements.

  • RELEVANT WY PTSB COACHING CERTIFICATE. WE CAN HELP GUIDE THE RIGHT CANDIDATE THROUGH THE PROCESS.
  • PTSB Certification requires a HS Diploma or GED and applying to WY PTSB.
  • PTSB and the District will need proof of current In-Person 1st Aid/CPR Training within about a month of your application.
  • Coaching courses required later.
  • PTSB takes around 8-12 weeks to process a complete application.

Responsibilities

  • Help implement a comprehensive wrestling program for middle school girls, focusing on skill development, physical fitness, and competition readiness.
  • Conduct regular practices, ensuring that all athletes receive proper training in techniques, strategies, and safety protocols.
  • Foster a positive team culture that encourages participation, teamwork, and respect among all athletes.
  • Help oversee team competitions, including scheduling matches, transportation, and communication with parents and guardians.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and school staff to promote the program and ensure a cohesive athletic experience for all students.
  • Monitor and evaluate athletes’ progress, providing constructive feedback and support for their individual growth and development.
  • Maintain safe and organized practice and competition environments, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, providing updates on team activities, schedules, and athlete performance.
  • Adhere to all school, district, and state athletic policies and regulations.

  • Payment is made at the end of the season, after proper check-out, FOR THE DAYS THE COACH WAS CERTIFIED.
  • The successful candidate will Not be paid for the days they worked and were Not certified or didn’t meet requirements.
