About The Position
The assistive technology specialist provides assistive technology demonstrations and consultation to consumers and providers; device loans; device reuse and assistive technology workshops. In addition the AT Specialist assists in A.T. Device Fabrication; coordination and facilitation of meetings with partners. The pay range for this position is listed above. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. Responsibilities
- Respond to consumer and provider assistive technology (AT) device requests.
- Provide guidance and support regarding AT services, devices, and resources.
- Assist consumers and providers in identifying appropriate assistive technology solutions.
- Prepare for and conduct assistive technology workshops and trainings.
- Conduct remote AT trainings for Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRCs).
- Develop training materials and educational resources related to assistive technology.
- Manage and maintain assistive technology device inventory.
- Track equipment usage, availability, and organization of AT devices.
- Fabricate assistive technology devices or prepare materials needed for AT fabrication.
- Develop and maintain reports related to assistive technology services and activities.
- Compile information regarding Medicaid and Medicaid Waiver coverage for assistive technology.
- Create and maintain an Assistive Technology Funding Handbook.
