About The Position
South Canton Scholars Charter Academy is seeking an At-Risk (English Language Arts) Teacher to provide instructional support and assessments for students who are below grade level. The teacher will create, manage, and participate in a variety of learning environments and activities in applicable core content areas, and perform additional duties as assigned. South Canton Scholars Charter Academy is located in Canton, Michigan, opened in 2011, and serves students in Young 5 through grade 8. The school describes its strengths as a strong leadership team, professional development and instructional materials, Emerald School certification, four NHA Eagle Awards in 2022–2023, and a veteran Special Education department with strong leadership.
Requirements
- Hold a valid teacher license or meet alternative requirements. National Heritage Academies will support the teacher through the alternative certification journey.

- Experience working with at-risk students is preferred.
