About The Position

Visiting Angels of Paris is hiring At Home Caregivers to serve clients throughout the local area, including Sulphur Springs, Paris, Mt Pleasant, Clarksville, and Cooper. Caregivers help enrich clients’ quality of life and support their wellness in accordance with individualized care plans. The position offers flexible schedules, competitive wages, and growth opportunities. Advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care is available to caregivers seeking to broaden their skills. Care may include helping clients with light exercise and walks, meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, mobility and ambulation, medication reminders, shopping trips, and appointments or errands. Caregivers also report health changes or unusual incidents and respond responsibly to emergencies.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Training in First Aid and emergency response; training is provided if needed.
Excellent time-management skills and ability to handle multiple duties at once.
Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled care times.
Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and physically supporting a client.
Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while following applicable dietary constraints.
Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, such as a background check.
Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
