Assurance Senior Associate [Financial Services]
About The Position
CohnReznick is seeking an Assurance Senior Associate to join its Financial Services team in Boston. The role supports clients in private equity, venture capital, hedge, real estate, cannabis, private credit, and other alternative investment funds, providing audit and related services across transactions, funds, and portfolio companies. The position is hybrid, with professionals encouraged to work in person approximately three days per week; the team determines the specific cadence. The Senior Associate leads engagements for specific client accounts, overseeing planning, execution, and final deliverables. The role also involves developing engagement work plans, budgets, and schedules; participating in proposals; and managing staff associates and interns through regular coaching and feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
- CPA designation or ability to sit for the CPA exam(s).
- At least 3 years of experience in a public accounting firm.
- Knowledge of audit software.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts.
- Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables.
- Develop detailed engagement work plans.
- Illustrate budgets and schedules.

- Manage a team of staff associates, including interns, while providing regular performance coaching and feedback.
