About The Position

Workforce Solutions partners directly with leading small to mid-sized CPA firms across the United States to connect them with top talent in the public accounting industry. We are currently working with a well-established and growing public accounting firm in Georgetown, Texas that is seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to join their team. This position is onsite with a hybrid option available after peak audit season. Assurance Managers play a critical leadership role in managing client relationships while overseeing audit and assurance engagements to ensure high-quality work products are delivered in accordance with professional standards and firm policies.

Requirements

  • CPA required.
  • 8+ years of experience in public accounting.
  • Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, SSARS, and assurance standards.
  • Strong technical review, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and team development experience.
  • Strong client communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound professional judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Leading audit and assurance engagements, including resolution of complex accounting matters.
  • Performing detailed technical reviews of reports with full disclosures.
  • Reviewing and overseeing preparation, compilation, and review engagements.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
  • Coordinating internal and external resources to meet engagement timelines and client expectations.
  • Managing multiple engagements concurrently.
  • Reviewing and consulting on complex transactions.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing staff to build technical and professional skills.
  • Delegating work effectively and ensuring direct reports meet performance expectations.
  • Identifying opportunities to provide additional services and cross-sell firm offerings.
  • Demonstrating a basic understanding of the business operations of a public accounting firm.
  • Adhering to firm policies and holding team members accountable to the same.
