About The Position

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring an Assistant Radiology Technologist for our Radiology department located within the Edgewood Hospital. This role provides administrative, customer service, and patient support functions for the Radiology Department. The position is responsible for operating radiology software systems for scheduling, data entry, charge capture, and exam completion. The Assistant Radiology Technologist will also assist with patient transport throughout the facility, greet patients and visitors, support registration and paperwork completion, and ensure a positive patient experience. Key duties include obtaining and verifying required patient, insurance, and physician documentation, including ICD-10 and CPT coding information for billing purposes. This role serves as a communication liaison between patients, physicians, and other departments while maintaining HIPAA compliance. The position involves answering and routing phone calls appropriately, adhering to all departmental, state, federal, and safety regulations, and performing additional duties as assigned. Strong customer service, organizational, communication, and multitasking skills are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Strong Communication skills by various methods (telephone, face to face, etc.)
  • Good organizational skills
  • Must be able to navigate through computer systems
