About The Position

The Maintenance Manager at Magna Structures LMV will plan, organize, implement and direct a program of total preventative and predictive plant maintenance operations and ensure facilities and equipment is maintained to produce world class product.

Requirements

  • Two – four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or three years of job related experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others on all levels of the organization
  • Ability to prepare, read, write and interpret reports, instructions, and procedures
  • Ability to effectively and appropriately present information and respond to questions from various groups
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer skills
  • Must have good organizational skills
  • Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, diagrams, requirements and business correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with all plant personnel about Maintenance concerns
  • Coordinate and supervise materials and components required for equipment maintenance and manufacturing
  • Actively participate in design and development of methods and equipment
  • Provide ongoing training to Maintenance associates on doing their job safely
  • Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and procedures promoting and practicing safety first policy, including housekeeping
  • Develop and implement a training program for all Maintenance associates to upgrade their skill levels
  • Develop and implement an effective Preventive Maintenance program for all presses and assembly equipment
  • Maintain a motivated and proud teamwork environment with ownership in workmanship
  • Actively participate in the cross-management team in achieving world class performance in safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Use reasonable means to require all associates to comply with safety policies and rules and enforce through a system of effective accountability that includes progressive discipline
  • Ensure associates have a workplace free from recognized hazards which are or may cause serious physical harm; must comply with Occupational Safety and Health standards applicable to the division and Magna’s standards
  • Assist in conducting accident/incident investigations and implement corrective action where necessary
  • Conduct monthly safety inspections and implement corrective action where necessary
  • Follow and support LMV’s and Magna’s operating principles and display the company’s core values on a regular and consistent basis
