About The Position
The Cedarville University School of Engineering and Computer Science is seeking exceptional faculty for its Electrical Engineering program. The goal is to train outstanding Electrical Engineers who combine high-level technical skills with an active Christian faith to impact the world. The program emphasizes rigorous academics, hands-on learning, and service opportunities, aiming to develop technical professionals committed to excellence in character, conduct, and skill. Faculty are expected to be dedicated professionals who invest in students' lives both inside and outside the classroom. This position is anticipated at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, with rank determined by experience and credentials. Eligibility for a tenure-track appointment will depend on institutional needs and candidate qualifications. The School of Engineering and Computer Science offers several ABET-accredited degree programs and serves over 750 students across six disciplines.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; OR M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, plus at least 6 years of professional engineering experience in a relevant area of electrical engineering.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate engineering and professional subject material to students.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team with students and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage in Christian mentorship and discipleship in both one-on-one and larger group contexts.
- Ability to provide professional mentorship and career guidance.
- Articulated commitment to and understanding of biblical integration in and out of the classroom.
- Qualified applicant must be a born-again Christian with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.

Responsibilities
- Teaching and mentoring students within an undergraduate engineering program.
- Teaching undergraduate courses and laboratories in a variety of electrical engineering areas.
- Advising students.
- Advising senior design projects.
- Potentially teaching in other electrical, computer, and general engineering areas as required for the BSEE curriculum and other programs.
- Participating in the continuing development of an innovative curriculum with a strong focus on lab-based learning and project work.
