About The Position

McGuire Woods is seeking an Associate to support its Corporate and Private Equity practice. The candidate may sit in our Dallas or Pittsburgh office. The Corporate and Private Equity Department consists of more than 90 attorneys whose practices focus on all types of private equity transactions including leveraged buy-outs, independent sponsor transactions, rollups, minority and junior capital investments, "going private" transactions and purchases of troubled companies in or out of bankruptcy. We have a team devoted to representing emerging managers and other general partners as well as significant limited partners in forming private equity, growth equity, venture capital, mezzanine, and real estate funds. Requirements

4 - 5 years of experience in acquisitions for private equity funds.
Strong academic record.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently with clients and colleagues.
Willingness and desire to work with innovative technology platforms.
Texas bar is required.
