About The Position

BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. is seeking an Associate to develop custom, fit-for-purpose solutions for clients and prospective clients using Aladdin’s capabilities. This role involves driving analytics and modeling improvements for Aladdin Studio based on client feedback and industry trends, and creating proactive solutions using Aladdin’s APIs, Data Cloud, and Compute platform. The Associate will provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership to drive client engagement and support pre-sales and implementation processes. They will also participate in firm-wide initiatives to enhance Aladdin analytics and strategic partner relationships, coordinate to resolve analytics-related issues, and ensure successful deployments of new analytics features. Additionally, the role involves providing guidance on sophisticated analytics inquiries from clients and partners, and partnering with Product Management and Engineering teams to develop products by articulating client needs, developing business requirements, supporting product design, and performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Collaboration with Client Engagement, Business Development, and Product Marketing teams is crucial for promoting solutions and educating clients through demos, thought leadership, and addressing client needs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computational Finance, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or a related field
Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as an Associate, or a related role.
Two (2) years of experience with Scripting languages including Python and R
Two (2) years of experience with Visualization tools including Power BI and Tableau
Two (2) years of experience with Financial market knowledge, including fixed income, equity, and alternatives asset classes
Two (2) years of experience with Quantitative modeling including security cash flow generation and bond pricing
Two (2) years of experience with Technology infrastructure, models, and production processes
Two (2) years of experience with Portfolio management software and applications, including Aladdin
Two (2) years of experience Engaging with clients and prospective clients to help solve analytical investment problems
Two (2) years of experience with Business and technical requirements in support of product development
Two (2) years of experience with Insurance product and regulatory knowledge supporting asset-liability-management
Two (2) years of experience with Investment accounting knowledge including fixed income book income projections and analysis
Two (2) years of experience with Knowledge of strategic asset allocation and scenario generation

Responsibilities

Use Aladdin’s capabilities to develop custom, fit-for-purpose solutions for clients and prospective clients.
Drive analytics and modeling improvements for Aladdin Studio based on client feedback and broader trends in the financial technology industry.
Create proactive solutions to new and emerging challenges using Aladdin’s APIs, Data Cloud, and Compute platform.
Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership to drive client engagement and provide support during pre-sales and implementation processes.
Participate in firm-wide initiatives to enhance Aladdin analytics and strategic partner relationships.
Coordinate to resolve analytics-related issues and ensure successful deployments of new analytics features.
Provide guidance on sophisticated and complex analytics inquiries from clients and partners across the client business, including Client Services and Analytics Production teams.
Partner with Product Management and Engineering teams to develop products: articulate client needs; develop business requirements; support product design; develop examples and test cases; and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Partner with Client Engagement, Business Development, and Product Marketing teams to promote solutions and educate clients: deliver demos to existing clients and new prospects; develop thought leadership; and address client needs and questions.
