About The Position

As an Associate at Stoker Ostler, you will partner with one or more Portfolio Managers to deliver an exceptional client experience. This role supports all aspects of client relationships, including account administration, client service, financial planning, and proactive communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business or Finance a plus
  • 1+ years of experience in financial services preferred
  • Working knowledge of financial markets and investment concepts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional presence with the ability to communicate effectively in both group and one-on-one settings
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and cross-functionally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in pursuing CFP®, CFA®, CPA, or MBA strongly preferred
  • Experience with Tamarac is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Client Meetings: Schedule client meetings and coordinate logistics, Prepare comprehensive meeting materials, Complete and track all follow-up items, Maintain accurate and timely updates in the CRM system
  • Client Service & Account Administration: Prepare and process new account applications, Facilitate account transfers and money movement requests, Track transactions through completion, Respond to routine client inquiries with accuracy and professionalism, Draft Investment Policy Statements (IPS) and IPS addendums, Communicate directly with clients to confirm transactions and address questions or concerns
  • Marketing & New Client Onboarding: Prepare prospective client materials and required disclosures, Support the onboarding process for new clients from start to finish, Assist with follow-up actions to ensure a smooth transition
  • Year-End Planning Support: Provide operational support for key year-end activities, including: Family and charitable gifting, Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs), Roth IRA conversions, Capital gains management, Document activities in CRM and prepare confirmation communications
  • Reporting: Generate investment, performance, and tax-related reports as requested by Portfolio Managers
  • Annual Account Reviews: Execute follow-up tasks related to comprehensive annual client reviews, Ensure all activities meet compliance standards for both managed and courtesy accounts
  • Portfolio Management Support: Assist with portfolio rebalancing, trading, and cash management activities
  • Financial Planning Support: Support the preparation of financial planning deliverables, including: Statements of financial objectives, Net worth statements, Retirement projections, Cash flow analyses
