About The Position

The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in Newmarket/Aurora is seeking an Associate to provide administrative support to our Investment Advisors. You will provide quality client service and help deepen relationships with existing clients through ongoing, efficient support to both clients and the Advisor Team. The ideal candidate should have at least one year experience in the investment field working as an assistant/associate and be fully IIROC licensed.

Requirements

  • Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam, CIRE.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • High level of time management and organization skills
  • Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
  • At least one year experience in the investment field working as an assistant/associate
  • Fully IIROC licensed

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures
  • Experience in the securities industry is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities to contact clients.
  • Managing timelines and key dates for accounts to help ensure clients feel supported by our team.
  • Respond to client inquiries in an understanding and time-efficient manner (account transactions, requests, account documentation, account reporting, etc.).
  • Provide proactive client service using superior problem resolution skills.
  • Liaise with various departments to provide smooth and timely solutions.
  • Effectively manage incoming communications from clients, Advisors and other internal and external partners.
  • Assist the Advisor team in welcoming and onboarding new clients.
  • Become well-versed in internal controls and industry regulatory requirements, ensuring client files and other necessary documentation is accurate, up-to-date and compliant.
  • Update the team’s communication channels, including websites, LinkedIn, Facebook, brochures, newsletters.
  • Follow up on client trades to ensure proper settlement and delivery.
