About The Position

The RBC Dominion Securities Place Ville Marie branch is seeking a resourceful, efficient, and collaborative individual to join as an Associate. This role involves providing exceptional service and support to clients and the advisory team to deepen existing relationships and onboard new clients. As a key internal and external point of contact, the Associate will maintain client accounts, ensure administration and documentation are compliant, and work with an Investment Advisor to manage client portfolios and wealth management planning opportunities.

Requirements

  • Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE)
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the securities industry
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients

Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities to contact clients.
  • Manage timelines and key dates for accounts to help ensure clients feel supported by our team.
  • Respond to client inquiries in an understanding and time-efficient manner (account transactions, requests, account documentation, account reporting, etc.).
  • Provide proactive client service using superior problem resolution skills.
  • Liaise with various departments to provide smooth and timely solutions.
  • Effectively manage incoming communications from clients, advisors and other internal and external partners.
  • Assist the advisory team in welcoming and onboarding new clients.
  • Coordinate and prepare meetings for advisors with their clients/prospects.
  • Become well-versed in internal controls and industry regulatory requirements, ensuring client files and other necessary documentation are accurate, up to date, and compliant.
  • Update the team’s communication channels, including websites, LinkedIn, Facebook, brochures, newsletters.
