About The Position

The Associate delivers a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple areas to support business needs. Associates contribute to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; process customer purchases and returns accurately; promote credit and loyalty programs; and prepare and present merchandise according to company procedures. They also support store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts, and follow applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

This is a part-time, temporary position at the TJ Maxx store at 4014 Atlanta Hwy in Loganville, Georgia. The starting pay range is $13.25 to $13.75 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers to deliver a highly satisfied customer experience.
• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
