About The Position

The Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience through engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

Associates support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately process purchases and returns; promote credit and loyalty programs; and follow merchandising and merchandise-processing procedures. They participate in store recovery, cleanliness, safety awareness, and shrink-reduction efforts, while following labor laws and company policies. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers to deliver a highly satisfying customer experience.
• Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.
