About The Position

The Associate role at California Chicken Café is responsible for preparing the restaurant's famous scratch-made menu items accurately and efficiently. This position involves maintaining a positive work environment, preparing and packaging guest orders, using kitchen appliances, storing and labeling food, following recipes, and ensuring a clean and stocked restaurant. The role also requires strong communication regarding any issues with food quality, equipment, or the work environment, and adherence to all company policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must attend and pass California Chicken Café Road to Success class within first month of hire.
Speak, read, and write English fluently.
Pass Food Handler course and test in compliance with California state law requirements.
Fully documented to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

1+ years of previous restaurant experience preferred.
Passionate about food and hospitality.
Friendly, upbeat, and cooperative.
Must enjoy and succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare California Chicken Café's famous scratch made menu items accurately and efficiently.
Maintain a positive and friendly work environment while adhering and applying the company’s core values.
Make and package guest food orders.
Use manual or electronic appliances to prep and process food.
Store and label foods according to Health Department regulations and company policy.
Read, comprehend, and execute recipes.
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and properly stocked restaurant.
Strong communication regarding any issues with food quality, equipment, and work environment.
Read and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
