About The Position

Manufacture a quality product from supplied drawings and manufacturing orders using the proper materials free from defect. Use a variety of woodworking practices and tools including - saws, air nailers, and sanding equipment in a most safe and efficient manner.

Requirements

• High School Education or GED
• Ability to lift 75 – 100 lbs. occasionally
• Quality conscience
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Basic math and writing aptitude
• Knowledge of a variety of woodworking equipment
• Blueprint/drawing comprehension
• Team player with a positive attitude

Nice To Haves

• 1 year in a woodworking or manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate wood sawing machines
• Operate drill presses, routers, sanders, planers and wood-nailing machines
• Work from drawings to determine size and shape of items manufactured
• Ability to choose best material and lengths for a given task
• Be an important part in the department quality control program
• Show consistent initiative in creating a quality product
• Follow safety rules and procedures
• Report unsafe acts, all accidents and near misses
• Operate equipment correctly and only if trained and authorized to do so
• Follow good housekeeping practices
• Provide regular, consistent and timely attendance
