About The Position

The Warehouse Selector is responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting warehouse products and properly preparing shipments for customers. This role works in the cooler, where the temperature is 32 degrees, and requires electric pallet jack experience. The position also involves maintaining production standards, safe work practices, good attendance, and the confidentiality of warehouse company information.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Electric pallet jack experience required.
• Ability to communicate well with internal customers and management.
• Ability to follow safe warehouse working practices as instructed.
• Ability to work efficiently without direct supervision.
• Ability to carry, lift, and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to sit; frequently stand, walk, and climb in the warehouse.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment preferred.
• Previous experience operating powered warehouse industrial equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or stock pickers, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect the appropriate selecting documents before beginning order selection.
• Select and separate warehouse products by account and stop number as shown on computer-generated labels.
• Match product descriptions to label descriptions.
• Build pallets according to customer guidelines.
• Meet production standards while minimizing errors.
• Transport completed orders by stand-up electric pallet jack to the appropriate warehouse staging area.
• Return completed selecting documents to the Shipping Department’s designated collection site.
• Perform other warehouse duties and special projects as requested.
• Maintain good attendance and safe warehouse work practices.
• Protect confidential warehouse company information.
