About The Position

The Associate, Warehouse Operations plays a vital role in accurately and efficiently receiving and preparing shipments to meet customer needs. The position operates warehouse equipment, manages inventory, and performs receiving, stowing, picking, packing, and shipping tasks while prioritizing safety, quality, and teamwork. This opening is for a Cooler/Freezer Order Selector at KeHE Portland. The stated start time is 7:00 AM, with a 4 x 10-hour schedule. New-hire pay is $22.85 per hour; a growth opportunity after a 60-day probation period offers $25.60 per hour plus a team bonus. Cooler and freezer differentials are $1.00 and $1.50, respectively.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience operating powered warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or stock pickers.
• Strong communication skills with internal customers and management.
• Ability to follow instructed safe warehouse working practices.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to team success.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, day shifts, and overnight schedules.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry 30–40 pounds repetitively, potentially up to 1,000 times per day, and larger items up to 75 pounds less frequently.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, and sit as required in the warehouse.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in food distribution or a warehouse environment.
• Experience using a warehouse management system (WMS) and other systems to track performance.
