AmeriVet•Havelock, NC
•$130,000 - $150,000•Onsite

About The Position

Emergency Pet Hospital of Craven–Carteret is a well-established emergency-only practice providing urgent medical and surgical care when regular clinics are closed, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The clinic emphasizes compassionate patient care, modern diagnostics and treatment plans, and coordination with referring veterinarians to support continuity of care. Its collaborative, fast-paced team treats small-animal emergency and surgical cases, with an average daily volume of 10–15 patients per doctor and a target doctor-to-technician ratio of 3:1. The Associate Veterinarian will provide emergency veterinary care and surgery while building long-term client relationships and working collaboratively with the clinic team. The position offers medical autonomy supported by the clinic’s medical systems, skilled technicians, dedicated client service representatives, and leadership. Early-career DVMs are welcome, with mentorship and development opportunities available. The clinic is located in Havelock, minutes from North Carolina’s Crystal Coast, with access to beaches, boating, fishing, nearby waterfront towns, and a lower cost of living than many coastal destinations.
