About The Position

Modern Animal is building a technology-forward general practice veterinary care model that supports veterinarians as well as pet owners and their animals. Associate Veterinarians work in warm, modern clinics and are supported by a 24/7 virtual care team and a dedicated in-clinic support team. Structured schedules assign a single flow per shift—exam, urgent, or procedure—giving veterinarians time to catch their breath. The organization offers customizable onboarding and training, mentorship, continuing education support, and career growth paths. Its in-house technology platform is designed to reduce administrative work and simplify record-keeping. Modern Animal describes its culture as vibrant, supportive, and blame-free.

The position pays $150,000–$230,000 annually. Base pay may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. A sign-on bonus may be included in the compensation package, along with medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the position offered.

Requirements

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited veterinary school or completion of requirements to practice in the United States.
• Active license to practice veterinary medicine in California is required at the start of employment.
• License must be in good standing, with no malpractice or disciplinary actions.
