About The Position
IndeVets is seeking a Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Virginia Beach, VA. This role offers a unique approach to veterinary medicine, prioritizing veterinarian wellbeing by offering flexible scheduling, guaranteed income, and a supportive community. As a W-2 employee working 1-3 days per week, you will have control over your schedule, with a dedicated coordinator building your schedule in advance. You will practice medicine across various trusted hospital settings, gaining diverse clinical experience while maintaining the stability of a single employer. The position emphasizes clinical autonomy, patient care over numbers, and provides support through medical leadership, mentorship, and access to a veterinary social worker. Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program (or equivalent)
- Active license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA + controlled substance license (as applicable)
- 1+ year of clinical experience in a small animal setting
- Confidence practicing independently
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
Nice To Haves
- GP, ER, or urgent care experience
- Internship training
Responsibilities
- Practice veterinary medicine across a variety of trusted hospital settings.
- Focus on patient care and clinical autonomy, without production quotas or restrictive non-competes.
- Work 1-3 days per week, with a schedule controlled by the veterinarian and built in advance.
- Gain diverse clinical experience, with opportunities for shifts in surgery, dentistry, ER, or urgent care when possible.
- Collaborate with a community of fellow veterinarians and receive support from medical leadership and mentorship.
- Utilize provided tools and resources, including a veterinary social worker and ongoing CE opportunities.
