About The Position

East Bend Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join their collaborative and compassionate team in Bend, Oregon. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian with 2+ years of clinical experience who enjoys a diverse caseload, advanced medicine, and working alongside a highly skilled support team. The hospital practices gold-standard medicine with a focus on Fear Free care, teamwork, and exceptional client service. They are interested in veterinarians with experience or interest in exotics, acupuncture, chiropractic care, or integrative medicine as they continue to expand their services.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine, or equivalent certification for international graduates
  • Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
  • Active Oregon veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date
  • Minimum of two years of clinical veterinary experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience utilizing digital radiography, dental radiography, and in-house diagnostics
  • Experience in small animal general practice, urgent care, or companion animal medicine
  • Interest or experience in exotics medicine
  • Interest in acupuncture, chiropractic care, or integrative medicine
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach to medicine

Responsibilities

  • Practice gold-standard medicine
  • Provide Fear Free patient care
  • Perform surgeries including spays, neuters, mass removals, eyelid surgery, foreign body surgery, cystotomies, amputations, and Femoral Head Ostectomies (FHOs)
  • Handle urgent care and emergency cases during regular business hours
  • Provide in-home euthanasia
  • Offer integrative treatment options and alternative therapies
  • Provide nutritional support
  • Utilize CBD and herbal therapies
  • Work collaboratively with a highly skilled support team
