About The Position

IndeVets is seeking a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Pittsburgh, PA. This role offers a unique approach to veterinary medicine, prioritizing veterinarian wellbeing by replacing rigid contracts with sustainable career paths. Veterinarians have control over their schedules, guaranteed income, and receive hands-on support and a community of peers. The position involves working 4-5 days per week with a schedule built in advance by a dedicated coordinator, ensuring predictability. Veterinarians practice across a network of trusted hospital partners, gaining diverse clinical experience, with opportunities to include surgery, dentistry, ER, or urgent care shifts. The role emphasizes clinical autonomy with a focus on patient care, not numbers, and provides dedicated medical leadership, mentorship, and access to a veterinary social worker. Ongoing CE and professional development opportunities are also provided. IndeVets is a W-2 employment model founded in 2017 by veterinarians, aiming to provide stability, support, and control to veterinary careers.

Requirements

  • DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program (or equivalent)
  • Active license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA + controlled substance license (as applicable)
  • 1+ year of clinical experience in a small animal setting
  • Confidence practicing independently
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
