About The Position

Punta Gorda Animal Hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their collaborative and well-established team. This role is suitable for both experienced DVMs and motivated new graduates seeking mentorship. The practice offers support, resources, and a focus on work-life balance. The hospital is recently renovated, paperless, and standalone, handling a 95% small animal and 5% exotics caseload. Equipment includes ultrasound, therapeutic laser, handheld dental radiography, and a dedicated surgical suite. Veterinarians are supported by two technicians per doctor, including experienced CVTs and CVAs. The daily appointment schedule is approximately 15 appointments with 30-minute appointment times. For veterinarians seeking growth, individualized mentorship, extended appointment times, and one-on-one surgical training are available.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
Licensed to practice veterinary medicine
Ability to work collaboratively
Willingness to work with small animals and exotics
Proficiency with diagnostic and surgical equipment
