About The Position

The Driver Helper assists a delivery Driver with product delivery to customers. The role rides with Drivers in tractor trailers, tandem trailers, and/or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, helping deliver and unload products safely, accurately, and on time in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The Driver Helper communicates professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers, answers questions accurately and promptly, and works as a team member to support the company. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of experience in a warehouse environment and interfacing with customers within the foodservice industry.
• Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment and interfacing with customers within the foodservice industry.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Driver with safe and accurate delivery of products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
• Load and unload trucks and/or company vehicles.
• Place products in areas identified by customers.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
• Communicate and interact professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
