About The Position
Coweta Animal Hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its small animal hospital in Newnan, Georgia. The practice is full-service and well respected, with a loyal client base and a supportive team. The role offers a full- or part-time schedule and involves providing compassionate, individualized care across general medicine, surgery, dentistry, wellness care, and other small animal services. The hospital has modern equipment, including digital radiography, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory services. Compensation is listed as $115,000–$150,000 based on experience and may include production and bonuses. Relocation assistance and a full benefits package are offered.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, or equivalent, from an AVMA-accredited university.
- Current DEA license or ability to obtain one upon hire.
- Active veterinary state license.
- USDA accreditation or ability to obtain it upon hire.
- Proficiency in general medicine and surgery.
- Compassionate, team-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with clients and partner with them to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Treat each pet individually to minimize stress, anxiety, or discomfort.
- Stay current with innovative and emerging veterinary medications, procedures, treatments, protocols, and equipment.
- Collaborate and function as a team within the hospital.
- Help continue developing the support team.
- Perform soft tissue surgeries and dentistry.
- Treat every client like family and each patient like their own pet.
