About The Position

Lazy 3 Animal Care is a full-service mixed-animal general practice serving the Cisco and Eastland, Texas area since 2002. The Associate Veterinarian will provide care across a varied caseload that can include companion animal wellness and sick care, surgery, dentistry, urgent and emergency cases, large-animal medicine, livestock, equine, exotics, and other species. The practice offers opportunities to shape a caseload around the doctor’s interests, practice with medical autonomy, and expand skills in mixed-animal medicine and surgery. Mixed-animal experience is welcome but not required; small-animal-focused veterinarians interested in gaining large-animal exposure are encouraged to apply. Experienced veterinarians and new graduates are welcome. The clinic is open Monday through Friday and closed on weekends. Doctors work with experienced veterinary technicians, including team members with large-animal and livestock backgrounds, in a collaborative, community-focused environment. The practice is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, EKG, and on-site laboratory capabilities. General soft-tissue surgery is available, with further opportunities for doctors interested in developing their surgical skills. The role offers a $25,000 sign-on bonus, competitive annual salary plus production bonus, an annual production-based DVM Long-Term Incentive Cash Program, and no negative accrual. Other offerings include a generous continuing education allowance, paid licenses and professional dues, referral bonuses, flexible scheduling, mentorship and professional development, relocation assistance, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company match. The employer also describes competitive pay, performance bonuses, student loan assistance, health and other insurance, mental health resources, paid time off, and holidays for full-time employees. The clinic is located between Cisco and Eastland in rural Texas.
