About The Position

Family Pet Clinic of Newberg is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join their collaborative, high-performing team. This is a full-time or part-time opportunity with a flexible schedule. The clinic is a well-established five-doctor small animal and exotics practice that prides itself on providing comprehensive care, advanced surgical capabilities, and a supportive team environment for professional growth.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine, or equivalent certification for international graduates.
Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE).
Active Oregon veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date.

Nice To Haves

Experience utilizing digital radiography, dental radiography, and in-house diagnostics.
Experience in small animal general practice, urgent care, or companion animal medicine.
Strong surgical and medical case management skills.
Interest in exotics medicine and surgery.
Strong communication and client relationship skills.
Collaborative, team-oriented approach to medicine.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive patient care for small animals and exotics.
Perform a wide variety of medical and surgical cases, including advanced procedures.
Conduct full-service dentistry (excluding root canals).
Perform acupuncture.
Utilize advanced abdominal and cardiac ultrasound.
Assist with procedures performed by a visiting board-certified surgeon (TPLO, complex fracture repairs).
Manage medical and surgical cases for exotic species.
Focus on practicing medicine while working alongside highly trained support staff.
Build lasting client relationships.
