About The Position

Peninsula Pet Clinic is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their experienced team in Portland, Oregon. This role is available due to a planned retirement and offers the opportunity to join a thriving practice with a loyal client base. Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine, or equivalent certification for international graduates.
Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE).
Active Oregon veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date.
Minimum of two years of clinical veterinary experience.
Strong medical, surgical, and communication skills.
A collaborative, compassionate, team-oriented approach to patient care.
A great sense of humor and the ability to enjoy the day-to-day moments that make veterinary medicine rewarding.

Nice To Haves

Interest in seeing pocket pets and rabbits.
Experience utilizing digital radiography, dental radiography, and in-house diagnostics.
Experience in small animal general practice, urgent care, or companion animal medicine.
Strong mentorship, communication, and leadership skills.
Proven adaptability, initiative, and team-building abilities.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality veterinary medical and surgical care.
Collaborate with clients to develop realistic, personalized treatment plans.
Utilize digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory services.
Perform surgeries in the surgical suite.
Support Fear Free handling techniques to create positive experiences for pets and clients.
Work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
