About The Position

Chimacum Valley Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Full-time or Part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team. They are an AAHA-accredited, Cat Friendly Certified, and Fear Free certified hospital that provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for small animals, with capacity for avian and exotic patients. They emphasize the human-animal bond and offer a supportive environment with skilled LVTs and assistants. The hospital is located on the Kitsap Peninsula, offering a rich natural environment and proximity to recreational activities and urban centers. They provide a comprehensive mentoring program for new veterinarians, focusing on individual needs and supportive DVMs and staff. The hospital utilizes Nonviolent Communication to foster a positive culture and open communication. Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 6:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm, with 30-minute appointment times and a 90-minute midday break. They use local emergency services for overnight concerns, eliminating on-call duties. Flexible vacation time is offered, with many associates enjoying 4 or more weeks per year. Compensation is flexible (salary, Pro-Sal, or production) with a competitive wage, signing bonus, and comprehensive benefits. Requirements

• DVM or equivalent degree.
• Washington License to practice Veterinary medicine.
• Fourth-year veterinary student or early-career veterinarian.
• Takes pride in providing quality medicine.
• Is interested in general surgery and/or dentistry.
• Is a collaborative member of the medical team with clear and respectful communication with colleagues and team members.
• Communicates effectively with clients.
